River Expedition to Agats & Asmat Realm
Fly to Dekai, Yahukimo, and navigate low-land river channels by speed boat into the heartland of the legendary Asmat tribe.
Days 01 & 02: Flight to Dekai & Speedboat to Suator
Arrive at Sentani Airport (Jayapura) and take a connecting flight to Dekai, Yahukimo. On Day 02, transfer to Lokbon harbour for a 4-hour chartered speedboat journey upriver to Suator. Stay overnight in a local village house with meals prepared by your guide team.

Day 03: Speedboat River Cruise to Agats District
Embark on an extended 8-hour speedboat journey through winding mangrove rivers and tropical estuaries deep into Agats District, the famous home of the Asmat woodcarvers and river people. Arrive in the afternoon and check in at your guest house.

Asmat Tribal Culture & Transfer to Wamena
Explore Agats, witness ancient sago food preparation, experience a traditional Asmat river dance, and fly into Baliem Valley.
Day 04: Asmat Museum & Traditional Sago Processing
Explore Agats by private boat. Visit the famous Asmat Museum of Culture and Art to admire world-renowned woodcarvings and ancestor poles. Learn how the Asmat tribe extracts and prepares sago palm as their staple food.

Days 05 & 06: River Asmat Dance & Flight to Wamena
Return by speedboat toward Suator, stopping en route to witness a spectacular traditional Asmat ritual dance performed atop canoes above the river. On Day 06, return to Lokbon, transfer to Dekai airport, and fly directly to Wamena in Baliem Valley.

Ascend to 3,000 meters at Lake Habema, immerse yourself in a Dani war dance & pig feast, and visit a 250-year-old preserved mummy.
Day 07: High-Altitude Lake Habema & Mt. Trikora View
Drive 2 hours up to 3,000 meters above sea level through mossy high-elevation tropical rainforests. Explore the shores of alpine Lake Habema with stunning panoramic views of Mount Trikora in the background, enjoying a packed box lunch amidst nature.

Wamena – Jayapura – Jakarta Departure
