Arrival & First Trekking Day
Travel overland from Makassar to the highlands and begin your deep trek into mountain bamboo forests.
Day 01: Makassar to Torajaland Overland
Upon arrival at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport (UPG) in Makassar, embark on a 9-10 hour scenic overland drive along the Makassar Straits coast, Bugis villages, and mountain roads. Enjoy a seafood lunch in Pare Pare. Check in and overnight at hotel.

Day 02: 6–7 Hour Mountain Trek & Homestay
After 08:00 AM pickup, transfer 30 mins to the trekking starting point. Trek through lush rice terraces, mountain vistas, bamboo forests, and traditional villages (~6–7 hours total). Lunch at a simple warung, dinner and overnight with a local Toraja family.

Countryside Trail & Return to Hotel
Interact with local farmers, hike moderate hills, and transition back to Rantepao town.
Day 03: 7–8 Hour Countryside Trek & Local Life
Depart at 08:00 AM for a 7–8 hour moderate trek up and down hills. Pass villagers planting or harvesting rice and caring for water buffaloes. Join locals in field activities, enjoy lunch at a local house, and stay another night with a Toraja family.

Day 04: Final 5-Hour Trek & Return to Hotel
After breakfast with your host family, embark on your final ~5-hour moderate trek reaching the car pickup point. Transfer to Rantepao town for lunch, check back into your hotel, and spend a relaxing afternoon at your leisure.

Cultural Tour & Airport Transfer
Day 05: Enjoy a relaxed half-day cultural tour visiting a traditional market and the iconic historic village of Kete Kesu. Enjoy lunch, return to your hotel, and relax for the rest of the day.
Day 06: Early breakfast, drive back to Makassar with a seafood lunch stop in Pare Pare, and proceed directly to Sultan Hasanuddin Airport for departure.
